KEY DATES:
Submission Dates: Entries open 1st of September 2024 and close on the 1st of November 2024. Late entries will not be accepted.
Judging Dates: Judging will take place between 6th of November 2024 and 15th of November 2024.
Award Date: 22nd November 2024.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Eligibility: The ISBC is only open to currently enrolled media students in any tertiary learning institution (e.g. University, College, Community College, Technical College etc.) You must be able to prove your 2024 enrolment and ISBC may require a letter of confirmation from your Faculty Head or General Manager.
- No entries will be accepted without an eligible ISBC membership number. Membership is free, and can be attained at isbc.co
- All entries must address each criterion as laid out on the entry form.
- Ensure all written entry details are correct prior to submission. Details will be used on certificates and awards as they appear in your application.
- Entries that do not adhere to time limits or page restrictions will only be considered to the specified length/time.
- Entries that do not adhere to format requirements will not be considered for finalisation. All audio must be MP3 format, and all video must be active links.
- Submissions that require audio must not exceed the specified length, individual images must not exceed 3MB in size and video content must be submitted via active link.
- All audio entries should be as they were broadcast. No additional music or SFX.
- All content must have been produced and/or published in 2024. All audio must have gone to air/been released in 2024. All videos must have been released/uploaded in 2024.
- Your entry must fulfill the award criteria and be submitted in accordance to the requirements that are stipulated for that award. If your entry does not meet the delivery requirements it may be disqualified. It is important that you ensure all file types and file sizes meet the requirements. Judges will not consider submissions beyond the specified entry requirements.
- Individuals or stations may be self nominated or nominated by a member of staff of the tertiary learning institution, production house or radio station, with the consent of all involved parties.
- Participants are allowed to submit the same content to multiple categories, but each category requires a separate submission and payment.
- Non-English audio submissions may be entered but must provide an English transcript to support the material. Applications and written submissions requirements within each category must be translated to English.
- Originality and Ownership: Entries must be original works created by the participants or the institutions they represent. Participants should ensure they have the necessary rights and permissions for any copyrighted material used in their entries.
- Content Guidelines: Entries must adhere to the ethical and legal guidelines for broadcasting and content production. Content that promotes hate speech, violence, discrimination, or violates any applicable laws will be disqualified.
- Disqualification for Non-Compliance: Entries that do not meet the submission guidelines or fail to provide the required information may be disqualified from the competition.
GENERAL TERMS:

Liability and Responsibility: The competition organizers are not responsible for any claims, comments, or content submitted by participants. Participants are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of their entries

Judging Process: All judges' decisions are final, and ISBC does not provide an appeal process. Winners will be selected by a panel of industry experts from eligible entries. The number of winners and the prizes awarded will be clearly stated, and the selection process will be fair and impartial.

Promotion and Publicity: By entering the competition, participants agree that their entries may be used for promotional and educational purposes related to the competition. However, participants have the option to notify the organizers in writing if they do not consent to their works being used in such a manner.

Image Use: you acknowledge and agree that ISBC reserves the right to utilize and reproduce your image for the purpose of promoting, judging, and showcasing the competition. Such usage may include, but is not limited to, wesbite content, online galleries, social media posts, promotional materials, and press releases.

Entry Use: Your entries may be displayed, duplicated, distributed, broadcast or published for promotional or educational use or as ISBC & RAMP Media Agency deem appropriate with relation to ISBC. By entering ISBC you agree to these terms and hold no claims arising out of and not limited to such use by ISBC & RAMP Media Agency. You may notify us in writing along with your submission if you do not consent to your works being used in such manner.

Changes to the Competition: The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the competition schedule, categories, or rules if necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated to the participants in a timely manner.

Privacy: Your personal details will never be provided to any third party company outside of ISBC or Ramp Media Agency.

Fees: USD $9.99 per entry.

The fee is charged per entry. If you are nominating for multiple categories you will need to pay the fee for each submission. If you are only nominating for one category you will only need to pay the fee once.

ISBC must receive payment at the time of submission of nomination. If payment is not received, your submission will not be accepted

Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued.

Withdrawal: No withdrawals past the submission close date 1st of November 2024. Any request to withdrawal must be done in writing at info@isbc.co

Prizes: Winners will receive recognition and awards as outlined. If the awarded sponsor prizes cannot be fulfilled as anticipated, ISBC reserve the right to substitute the prizes with alternatives of equal value or make appropriate arrangements as deemed necessary. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives unless specified.

Governing Law: The prize giveaway and these terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the relevant jurisdiction.

Liability and Release: ISBC, its partners & sponsors are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury incurred as a result of participating in the prize giveaway or accepting the prize. Participants release the sponsoring organization from any liability associated with the prize giveaway.

ISBC reserves the right to remove a category from the voting process if there is not sufficient participation during the nomination process.

ISBC reserves the right to nullify a submission and/or award if participants have been found to have fabricated or falsely represented data, information or results relating to their nomination.

ISBC & RAMP Media Agency will not be held responsible for the comments, acts, claims, verbiage or any other content that is submitted as an entry.

ISBC reserves the right to cancel the awards at any time before the 8th of November, however should this happen, all monies will be refunded for entries received.
